Acceptable Uses and Policy

GRBnet is committed to providing a safe and legal place for companies and individuals to maintain a presence on the Internet. To help us achieve this goal, we have set aside a list of rules that everyone must follow while being hosted by GRBnet.

In our opinion, good old common sense is the best gauge of what type of content is appropriate on a web site. Therefore, the following usages of our web server are unacceptable. Accounts found not to be within these guidelines shall be suspended until such time as they are made to abide by our acceptable uses policy.

Illegal activities
Any type of illegal activity, including, but not limited to pirating of software, unauthorized distribution of software, harassment, the presentation of obscene or forbidden material, drug dealing, and any other types of illegal activities will not be permitted.
GRBnet has the final say in any judgement regarding the legality and morality of any web site hosted on our servers.

Internet Abuse
Unsolicited e-Mail, Spamming, sending out e-Mail with non-existent return addresses, mailbombing, cross posting of newsgroup or e-Mail messages, or attempting to gain unauthorized access to a computer system for the purposes of malicious intent will not be tolerated.
GRBnet will determine what constitutes Internet abuse and reserves the right to discontinue hosting a web site or revoking e-Mail privileges.

Slander or other questionable acts
No web customer, or web users shall be permitted to post scandalous, private of slanderous information about a person without prior written consent. Copyright, trademark or any information that is protected under law shall be used with the consent of the owner. Any such postings are subject to immediate removal and any such web site allowing such postings shall be immediately suspended.

Server or system misuse.
Resource misuse refers to, but is not limited to, web pages that generate an extraordinary usage of server CPU and memory resources. Certain CGI uses, such as the reselling of CGI processing on our server, are not permitted.

Installation or usage of a POP3 or SMTP mail service is not permitted in any fashion. Using e-Mail accounts or auto-responders other than for a GRBnet customer is not allowed.

Domain pointers, which allow a customer to access an independent web site, such as www.yourdomain.com/subdomain, are not permitted.  The GRBnet Web Hosting Policy does not allow Hosted Customers to compete with our web hosting service by reselling space under their own web site.

Anyone witnessing or wishing to report any violations may do so by emailing us at Support@GRBnet.com.
